School holidays are just around the corner. I know you have started dreading those days with just the mere thought of it. Well, it is not even that panicky a situation than you thought of. All you need to do is embrace this phase positively and plan it well to make it a wonderful time for both you and your kids.
And, if you think planning is not your cup of tea, we have that sorted for you as well. Here is a list of ongoing activities for your kids to make their vacation a fun and enriching time. Take a look.

Nexus Toy Fair (Saturday 13th April 2019)
If you child is crazy for toys, action figures, comics, cards, Simpsons, Star Wars, Disney, posters, films and DVD etc, Nexus toy fair is definitely the place to be. This event is every toy lover’s haven. Also, the prices for the toys are cheaper than all retail stores. The entry fee is just $2. And, children under 8 years of age can come in for free.
Venue: Park Recreation Centre, Cnr Kent & Gloucester Street, East Victoria Park
Time: 9.00am – 12.00 noon
Stay and Play (3rd Monday of every month)
This is the perfect place for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to hop, jump, roll and even make new friends. Organised by Gosnells Toy Library, this place has a playground with equipment for older kids as well. Kids can also enjoy a rollercoaster ride here if the weather permits. Later they can get together for cookies and cakes. And yes! The event is totally free.

Timings: 9:30am – 11.00am
Stirling Miniature Railway (Last Sunday of Every Month and Tuesdays during school holidays)
Who doesn’t like train rides? Be it for adults or children, train rides are so much fun. Visit this place for a fun-filled picnic with your family and friends. Enjoy train rides that pass through a tunnel and picnic area. Adults can enjoy their barbeque here as well. This is a great place to host a kid’s birthday party. The fee for a family of six people is $40 or $10 per individual. However, there is no entry fee for kids under three years of age.

Time: 10.00am – 2.00pm
Banksia Park Primary School 30th Anniversary Fete (Saturday 6th April, 2019)
Come here with your kids to enjoy fun rides, scrumptious spread of food and a lot of entertainment. I am sure once you come here, you would not feel like going back home. And if you do, you will leave this place with a big smile on your face.

Time: 11.00am to 4.00pm
Shine Bright Girls April Holiday Workshop (Monday 15th April)
This three-hour school holiday workshop is for girls from 9-12 years of age to experience being seen, held and supported as their authentic selves. The girls will strengthen their self-esteem, get to know themselves more fully and celebrate who they are in a safe, nurturing space. This interactive workshop, presented by Tanya Monique will include drawing, dancing, meditation and team building activities. Book your daughter and her bestie to share the fun together!
